To setup your e-mail account on Windows Live Mail you have to follow a few steps, and then you are going to be able to use it immediately.
First, you have to check that you have installed the e-mail program on your computer. If you do not have it, you can download it on this link http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/all.html and choose the language
On the website, there is an option that says Download Thunderbird that you have to click to install it.
You have to click “Run” in the setup window.
The installation assistant is going to guide you. In this step you have to click “Next”.
Choose the standard option. If you want to establish Thunderbird as your default e-mail application, just choose the option that is at the end of the window. Then click “Next”.
The next window tells you the file to install the program. Click Install to start the process.
When the installation has finished, click “Finish”. The application is going to start in this moment.
On Thunderbird you have to cancel the window that asks you for configuration. Then click “Tools> Account Settings”.
In this new window you have to write your e-mail and all the respective information about it.
Then, on the left panel, click “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”. On the right panel, check the account and click “Edit”. You have to fill the window whit the information below:
It is really important to check that in the option “Identification and security” is marked “Use security identification”.
The next step is to click “Ok” in all the windows to ability your e-mail.
To finish the configuration, click on “Receive. ”In this step, Thunderbird is going to check your e-mail account and it is possible that it will ask your password. If you click “remember”, it is not going to ask you again.
